Quality standard

Pink® Batts® insulation is manufactured in plants with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2015 certification adhering to an international quality management system. Our Pink® Batts® insulation manufacturing process is continually assessed to ensure production meets those quality standards.

Environmental Choice Accreditation

New Zealand’s only Type 1 government owned ecolabelling program. Environmental Choice New Zealand (ECNZ) accreditation identifies a product as less harmful to the environment than products that do not meet these accredited criteria. This government-backed initiative uses several criteria to assess a product:

  • How it’s made
  • Energy-saving policies of the company
  • Ozone impact
  • Recycling and waste disposal methods

We were the first insulation company to achieve the Environmental Choice New Zealand Accreditation in June 2004

Non-combustible

Pink® Batts® insulation, is made from inert glass wool and is non-combustible, meaning it won’t catch fire or melt easily when exposed to a flame

Life Cycle Analysis and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)

Life Cycles Assessment (LCA) assessed the environmental impacts of all stages of a product life from raw materials, manufacturing, distribution, use and final disposal. The result is a set of indicators that are included in EPD

Greenguard Certification

GREENGUARD Certification Program (formerly known as GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification) gives assurance that products designed for use in indoor spaces meet strict chemical emissions limits, which contribute to the creation of healthier interiors.

We are the only New Zealand manufacturers of insulation to have a product range certified by GREENGUARD

Bio solubility- NK 8340

Glass wool is bio-soluble, and we prove it by complying with Owens Corning NK 8340 formulation. Bio-solubility means it’s harmless for lungs- making it safe for you.
